The Annual General Meeting of the Strathendrick Curling Club was held on Thursday 11th October 1900 in the Old Session House. 20 members were present.

An apology for absence from the meeting was read from D Edmund Esq. President. In his absence, Mr Stephen Vice-President was called to the Chair.

The minutes of the last Annual General Meeting and also those of Committee Meeting of date 12 March 1900 were read and approved of.

The Treasurer's Report showing a credit Balance of £1 10s 4d was read and unanimously adopted.

J Thomson moved and R Simpson seconded that the annual subscription of members should this year be 2/-.
D Fairlie, seconded by W Gourlay moved this previous question. By a show of hands, the latter motion became the finding of the meeting.

The election of Office Bearers was then proceeded with. The following being duly elected:
Patron - Colonel Blackburn
Patroness - Mrs Blackburn
President - Mr David Edmond
Vice President - Mr Alex Stephen
Representative members - Rev A Gordon Mitchell and Mr William Gourlay.
Chaplain - Rev A Gordon Mitchell
Secretary & Treasurer - Rev A Gordon Mitchell

Committee

The retiring Committee of Management were re-elected.

Rule as to number of Skips

The rule passed at last Annual General Meeting as to number of skips etc. was re-adopted with the additional provision that it should be competent for the Skips to pick a third man whether he be on the ice or not.

Pond

Mr William Gourlay undertook to see to the cleaning and repairing of the Pond in the usual manner.

The Pond Committee were re-elected with the addition of the Secretary.

Case for medals

It was moved, seconded and agreed to that a Committee of five be appointed to arrange for the purchase of a Box for the medals of the Club - to be ready by 1st January? next. An amendment to the effect that the Secretary purchase a case for medals having received 6 votes as against 9 votes for the motion, which became the finding of the meeting. The following were elected as members of the said Committee Messrs D Fairlie, A Stephen, W Morrison, W Gourlay and the Secretary. The Secretary to be Convenor.

Skips

A vote was taken by ballot for skips, there being 12 nominations. The result of the Ballot was as follows:
J Gourlay (16 votes) No.1, W Aitken (15 votes) No.2, David Wilson (15 votes) No.4,
William Gourlay (12 votes) No.6, John Paul (11 votes) No.5, David Edmond (11 votes) No.3.

A vote of thanks to the chairman terminated the proceedings.

A meeting of the Medals Committee was held this evening -
Present - A Stephen, W Gourlay, W Morrison, D Fairlie and A Gordon Mitchell, Convenor
The Convenor stated that he had requested the local joiners to send in offers in time for this meeting and that he had received a tender from Mr James Thomson to make medal case for 9s 9d. The Committee unanimously accepted said offer and requested that the Secretary instruct this to Mr Thomson. The box to accommodate 24 medals, any extra expenses on this account - not to exceed 2s 3d.

A meeting of management was held this evening to consider a letter which the Secretary had received from Alan Cross Esq with regard to a proposed testimonial to Mr Robert Frater, umpire at Province Match -
Present - Wm Gourlay, D Goodwillie, Alex Thomson, John Wilson and Rev A Gordon Mitchell, Convenor
Rev A Gordon Mitchell read Mr Cross's letter to the Committee, whereupon Mr Gourlay moved, Mr Goodwillie seconded and it was unanimously agreed to that the Secretary be instructed to contribute from the funds of the club the sum of one pound to the testimonial of the Forth & Endrick Province to Mr Robert Frater.
