FORTH AND ENDRICK PROVINCE

Province Points Competition 2019/20

Due to the current arrangements for ice bookings on Thursdays and Fridays, it was decided not to attempt to hold the Annual Points competition in 2019/20.

The Province held the competition within the Beattie Points which took place on Wednesday 5 February 2020 at 18.15 in the Arena at The Peak.

15 Province curlers took part. Unfortunately, 2 others had to drop out due to illness contracted during the Swiss Tour. The players represented 6 of the Province clubs between them. 8 disciplines were played giving a maximum of 64 points.

Fiona Glass of Strathendrick and West Stirlingshire Ladies was first in the Ladies Section with 24 points and Michele Brodie of Buchlyvie was second on 20 points.

Moray Weir of Buchlyvie was joint first in the New Curlers Section with 20 points.

Thomas Setterington of Loch Ard was second in the Junior Section with 31 points.

John Steel of Drymen was first in the Senior Section with 39 points and Grant Farquharson of Balfron was second on 36 points.

The winners of Betty's Bucket for the highest combined score were Balfron with a total of 65 (36 by Grant and 29 by Gordon Jackson).
