The Strathendrick club was formed on 10 December 1846 and therefore is one of the oldest curling clubs in Central Scotland. It is based in Killearn in West Stirlingshire but also welcomes members from the surrounding villages of Fintry, Buchlyvie, Blanefield and Balfron. Some members come from as far afield as Balloch. Our seasons usually start with a golf outing and quiz in September and continue through to the following March.
In recent years we have had mild winters with little opportunity to curl outdoors. However, in Autumn 2001 renovation work was carried out on the old village pond at Drumore. We nearly managed an outdoor bonspiel in January 2002 but an overnight thaw prevented a game. In 2003 we had more luck and the first match for many years took place on 8 January. Relatively warm winter weather prevented any further outdoor curling until 2009. The pond owners carried out major renovation in December 2009 just before the weather turned very cold. This allowed several days of outdoor curling from late December until January 2010. On 10 January a match was played against Balfron Curling Club, the first competetive match on the pond for many years.

Curling mainly takes place at Stirling Peak Ice Rink at various times with occasional events at Braehead Curling Rink. The club has a Ladies Section which also plays at Stirling on Thursday mornings.
The main event of the year is a mixed league competition which runs from October to March. There are also pairs and points competitions and friendly matches against other local clubs. Coaching can be arranged on request.
Not all our events take place on the ice. There are also social events in the year such as a Golf Competition, Dinner Dance and Meander (don't ask just come and join in!).
